Our Sunday, June 6 bike ride will be the Geisinger Motorcycle Miracle Tour to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network at Geisinger. For donation forms and pre-registration go to www.geisinger.org/cmn Let's help the kids! Since the rain was toward the north, we struck out on our own to nowhere towards the south. Had a great lunch at The Herdon House and timed it just right to be eating when the skies opened up. Dried up already when we were done and had a beautiful ride back to the rally. On Monday, June 7, we headed toward Intercourse, PA; why you ask, well just look at the name. Some bike problems prevented us from getting our coveted picture in front of the town name but it was a great ride. Some of us (me) thought it was a little too windy for a scaredy cat! Lunch outside at a pizza place and a pleasant ride back to the rally. The bike held together with bungee cords, see the pictures. Tuesday, July 8 was a ride to the Pioneer Tunnel,an old coal mine and a ride on an old steam locomotive. The ride also included a tour of the Yuengling factory; with samples of course. Didn't make the ride, so will get some pictures up as soon as possible. It rained us out on Wednesday, June 9 so we just had to play some games in the newly extended Entertainment tent. How about that tent? Thursday, June 10 we headed to to Williamsport to take a ride on the Hiawatha River Boat. It was a nice ride down the river with great service on board the boat. There were souvenirs and a snack shop. Friday, June 11 was to Bill's Bike Barn, our usual Friday ride, great as always. Bill was in Europe looking for more treasures, Things are changed up there so much that it's difficult to see everything in one visit. |
